Okay, the way this thing will work is that you post one random fact about yourself, then come back every once in a while to read what others have written and post another. I'll start: I name my guitars. They are Chelsea, Solomon, and Brenna. Readysetgo!

Post 29 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Tuesday, 06-Dec-2011 12:04:18

I don't like raw bananas, and think those candied marshmallowed yams at Thanksgiving are gross. As a friend of mine posted on Twitter, they're only good for food fights, which, at 40, would be a little weird if I engaged in.

Post 30 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Tuesday, 06-Dec-2011 19:46:37

Leo, I totally agree that those candied yams are gross. Fresh sweet potatoes are the way to go.
I love fruit in general, but I don't like melon of any kind.

Post 31 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Tuesday, 06-Dec-2011 20:04:18

While we're on fruit, I drink smoothies like water in the summer hahaha

Post 32 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Tuesday, 06-Dec-2011 20:54:30

I don't like banannas in any form; even if someone claims you'd hardly be able to taste them in bread or something, I always do.

Post 33 by basket (knowledge is power) on Wednesday, 07-Dec-2011 1:22:09

I drink hot chocolate in the summer and icecream in the winter on a regular basis.

Post 38 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Tuesday, 13-Dec-2011 8:47:13

Whoa. What was your paper over? Sheesh!
Aww Heart you don't like sand crack? XD
Usman, I do the ice cream in the winter thing, but it's too damned hot here in the summer to do the hot chocolate venture. Lol
My name spelled backward is "assilem." Don't let that fool you. XP

Post 41 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Monday, 19-Dec-2011 15:00:22

jell-o absolutely disgusts me, to the point of being overcome with nausea (it doesn't matter whether I'm touching it or smelling it).

Post 42 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Monday, 19-Dec-2011 16:46:54

I loved milk chocolate as a small child, then I wouldn't touch it at all for about five years, then I liked it again, and have ever since, but this time I prefer dark chocolate. Weird, isn't it?

O, and white chocolate is good, too, but I never really got to eat that when I was little.

Post 43 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Monday, 19-Dec-2011 16:59:56

I'm not typically a perfectionest, with the exception of my blog. if the entries don't look as I want them to, I'll edit them till they do.

Post 44 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Wednesday, 21-Dec-2011 16:23:41

Hahahaahaha I was that way, too, when I kept a blog.
I can run-walk about a mile in an average of 13 minutes...big campus will do that to ya. XD

Post 45 by TechnologyUser2012 (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 22-Dec-2011 12:48:42

I sometimes choose to walk up 5 flights of stairs to get to my apartment rather than waiting for the elevator in my building because it's so slow at times.

Post 46 by Chazuke (Generic Zoner) on Saturday, 24-Dec-2011 16:07:18

There are times when I don't leave the house for long period of time. This stretch is 2 1/2 weeks.

Post 47 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Saturday, 24-Dec-2011 16:14:30

listening to music every day without failure is a necessity, as far as I'm concerned.

Post 48 by LeoGuardian (You mean there is something outside of this room with my computer in it?) on Saturday, 24-Dec-2011 16:15:54

@Post 45 Hell yes, at college I took the stairs always because they were emptier and I always got there ahead of everyone on elevators. Still in the habit of it 20 years later if I get the chance. Whatever anyone else may say, it's like the secret fishing hole: nobody uses em so you can smoke right through there, even go fifteen flights before the elevator people get there.

Post 49 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Saturday, 24-Dec-2011 23:31:34

after trying it for the first time last Friday, I actually like sour crout, however the hell that one is spelled. I mean, I wouldn't eat it every day, but it's not that bad. Am willing to try anything once. *smile*

Post 50 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Monday, 26-Dec-2011 0:30:03

When I was in fifth grade, I climbed up to the top of the Bunker Hill Monument, which is 294 stairs.

Post 51 by midnight sun (you can't catch me, i'm the palobread man) on Monday, 26-Dec-2011 19:30:45

this is an interesting topic. you find out things about people that you didn't imagine or can relate to. just thought i'd give my opinion

that said, several years ago i figured out a way to know exactly what day of the week a certain day was, taking not more than a few seconds. and could go back or forward centuries. guess that's what boredom does to you but now i forgot how to do it, could probably remember if i bother to think of it

Post 52 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Monday, 26-Dec-2011 19:55:13

I recently discovered I love egnog.

Post 53 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Thursday, 29-Dec-2011 19:40:10

Haha I prefer the stairs also. And Heart, I didn't like eggnogg until I was a freshman in college. Funny how our tastebuds change. ;P
Lion, if you ever remember, post it here. I have a boy with autism in my disability youth group who is a calendar savant and I kind of wonder what process he uses. You can tell him your birthday and he can say within a second or two what day of the week you were born on. It's amazing. I wonder if you use the same process he does. He says it's math but he can never explain it. XD
Um. Factfactfact...I have been repelling, and it's scary as hell. Rockwall climbing is fun, though, and I've even climbed a small mountain which was more like a stoney hill. ;)

Post 54 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Thursday, 29-Dec-2011 20:19:20

I absolutely can't stand marshmellows, unless they're in rice crispy treats.

Post 55 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Friday, 30-Dec-2011 14:09:14

I almost never drink my coffee sweatened.

Post 56 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Friday, 30-Dec-2011 16:56:48

I wore leg braces from the time I was born, till age 16.

Post 57 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Friday, 30-Dec-2011 18:01:23

when I was little, I preferred to hang out with adults rather than with kids my own age. this preference has continued into my adulthood somewhat, though not as much.

Post 58 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Friday, 30-Dec-2011 21:47:19

I echo Jess's last post, but for me, I still prefer hanging out with people older rather than those my age.

Post 59 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Friday, 30-Dec-2011 23:40:30

it's not difficult to have a conversation with me, but it's extremely difficult to get into my head and really get a sense of what I'm about. Very few people have been able to. and, most of the people who think they have really have not.

Post 60 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Friday, 30-Dec-2011 23:51:02

online, I come across as standoffish to many. however, if you know me, you realize I just don't let many people into this sacred space known as my heart/life. I'm not this way for fear of being hurt. rather, I strongly believe loyalty and trust are earned, not given freely to everyone who crosses our path.

Post 61 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Saturday, 31-Dec-2011 5:28:35

Hmmm, Random fact. If I could afford it, I'd probably drink more than a gallon of ice cold milk every single day. can't get enough of the stuff.

Post 62 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Monday, 02-Jan-2012 20:06:57

True love's kiss didn't reach me until I was almost 19. ;)

Post 63 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Tuesday, 03-Jan-2012 17:45:05

that's honestly not a bad thing, really.

I can currently call two countries home.

Post 64 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Tuesday, 03-Jan-2012 19:35:56

Nope. It's really not. :D
What two countries? I'm newish on the site and don't know this.
I've never been outside the country but have been to D.C. and loved it.

Post 65 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Tuesday, 03-Jan-2012 21:08:41

I speak spanish, but am rusty since I haven't been near anyone who speaks it in awhile.

Post 66 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Wednesday, 04-Jan-2012 8:17:45

The two countries are Canada and the U.S.

I am most motivated in the morning.

Post 67 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Wednesday, 04-Jan-2012 9:14:36

Post 68 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Wednesday, 04-Jan-2012 9:14:47

iced coffee, I mean.

Post 69 by Dirty Little Oar (I'd rather be rowing.) on Wednesday, 04-Jan-2012 9:36:05

I once dislocated my elbow at a baseball game while participating in an on field contest between innings. I had to run the 3rd base line while wearing swim flippers and carrying a beach ball over my head. It was a race and I am stupidly competitive. I was trying too hard to catch up and got careless. I tripped and face planted in the turf. While I was getting checked by the team trainer, the players kept coming around to stare at my arm and yell "EW". And the people in the ER had a nice chuckle when I explained the story, as did my orthopedic surgeon and every other medical person I had to deal with during that whole episode. Not one of my finer moments, but it is random triviaabout me, so there you go.

Post 70 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Wednesday, 04-Jan-2012 12:03:35

I used to play beep baseball when I was younger, and loved it.

Post 71 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Wednesday, 04-Jan-2012 14:15:19

I love your story, Traveller! XD
I was a goalballer. XD but my team had too much drama and I lived too far away so I had to let it go. Got to play in an actual tournament, though. Lost to Colorado, NM, and another Dallas team, I think, but it was only our first and we did really well.
Y yo tambien hablo espanol :)

Post 72 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Wednesday, 04-Jan-2012 21:40:54

I have never so much as touched a cigarette, or any tobacco products for that matter.

Post 73 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Thursday, 05-Jan-2012 10:35:09

nor have I.
here's something about me that I doubt those close to me know: when I rant about things/talk about my life, I do it cause I know it's what others prefer and are used to, not cause I enjoy it.

Post 74 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Thursday, 05-Jan-2012 13:29:36

I feel that way, too, only it's more like I'm less confident about expressing my feelings than one would think.

Post 75 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Thursday, 05-Jan-2012 14:59:54

for me, it isn't a matter of confidence (I'm really confident and have a high self esteem) but am used to keeping to myself as that had to be the case till friends came along.

Post 76 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Friday, 06-Jan-2012 19:13:11

In general, I get along better with members of the opposite sex, though there are exceptions.

Post 77 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Monday, 09-Jan-2012 9:21:21

although I have no concept of color, blue has always been my favorite.

Post 78 by midnight sun (you can't catch me, i'm the palobread man) on Tuesday, 10-Jan-2012 10:09:21

post 53. i don't know. it is a math thing yes, and all i can say is it works. it came to me in a strange way too. on the first day of school i saw this guy in my class who did it, and as soon as i finished asking how do you do that? i realized i already knew.
cats and i really understand each other well, i always know what they are trying to communicate and same goes for them with me. though i kind of closed up a bit since 2 years and half ago when i lost my favorite creature ever

Post 79 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Tuesday, 10-Jan-2012 10:29:51

I think white milk is disgusting.

Post 80 by TechnologyUser2012 (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 10-Jan-2012 10:51:44

The only times I really have milk are when I eat cereal.

Post 81 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Tuesday, 10-Jan-2012 11:28:39

same here, with the exception of strawberry or chocolate milk.

Post 82 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Tuesday, 10-Jan-2012 20:22:42

it seems we all seem to have that in common. I prefer soy milk, except in cases like baking where regular white milk is required.

Post 83 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Tuesday, 10-Jan-2012 20:35:18

I also tend to only use milk on cereal. I don't normally like soy milk either, but I recently discovered that it's good homemade when someone brought some in to work.

Post 84 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Wednesday, 11-Jan-2012 9:34:53

Hmm. I've never tried it before home made. I only use the silk soymilk, and I still don't really like to just drink it by itself.

Post 85 by pyromaniac (Burning all of mankind to dust. ) on Wednesday, 11-Jan-2012 16:58:14

Post 87 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Wednesday, 11-Jan-2012 18:15:51

I drink more water now than I did in my younger days.

Post 88 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Wednesday, 11-Jan-2012 19:53:57

Post 89 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Wednesday, 11-Jan-2012 20:17:54

I love grapes, but can't stand anything raisin related.

Post 90 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Thursday, 12-Jan-2012 12:14:57

the list of common condiments that I hate is quite a bit longer than the list of condiments that I like.

I hate all cheese, including pizza cheese.

Post 95 by Nick6489 (11 years a Zoner) on Sunday, 15-Jan-2012 10:04:01

I'm adicted to sports like most blind people are adicted to music. My Day isn't complete if I haven't read something about sports, listened to sports clips, or watched a game.

Post 96 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Sunday, 15-Jan-2012 13:50:32

I played beep baseball as a child.

Post 97 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Sunday, 15-Jan-2012 17:09:16

I didn't like the swings, the slide, or fast rides as a child.

Post 98 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Monday, 16-Jan-2012 16:06:47

Wow! What interesting responses since I've last read! Lion, I get what you mean about cats. I'm the same way!
Um um um...Heart, sushi is amazing. XD
Um...still stalling...I love listening to the radio nonstop.

Post 99 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Monday, 16-Jan-2012 20:16:29

I only listen to FM radio when I'm out somewhere and it's on, because I can't stand the commercials and the repetition.

Post 100 by midnight sun (you can't catch me, i'm the palobread man) on Tuesday, 17-Jan-2012 18:25:00

we moved away from the topic of food. yay! :D
for some reason, i am actually better at expressing myself in english than in my first language

Post 101 by hopeburnsblue (http://hopeburnsblue.deviantart.com) on Tuesday, 17-Jan-2012 18:46:56

What is your first language? And yes, the commercials are definitely irritating. XD
I can sort of do a hand-stand. Only sort of.

Post 102 by chelslicious (like it or not, I'm gonna say what I mean. all the time.) on Tuesday, 17-Jan-2012 18:47:18

Post 103 by silly_singer (The girl who's always lost in a melody) on Tuesday, 17-Jan-2012 21:30:40

I can't sleep unless a radio is on.

In fact, when I was little, the only reason my folks found out I had an ear infection was because I cried at not being able to hear the radio even after my dad put it on full volume.

Post 104 by OceanDream (An Ocean of Thoughts) on Wednesday, 18-Jan-2012 15:24:14

wow. Same here. I sleep much better when there is some amount of sound.

The first time I ever made the news was because I fed ducks as a child; the main point being that these ducks were apparently petrified of people normally, but they seemed to like me.

Post 105 by LittleSneezer (The Zone-BBS is my prison, but I like it here.) on Wednesday, 18-Jan-2012 19:45:38

Wow, I can't sleep with music on at all. I don't mind white noise, though.
I like cold beverages, but I won't take ice in anything except water and alcoholic drinks.

I typically don't take ice in drinks, either. if they're already cold, what the hell is the point? lol.

Definitely agreed on the ice, especially since if it's anything but water, the ice will eventually water it down unless you drink the whole thing in a couple minutes.

wow damn, this topic is still going strong.
I tend to actually go about daily activities as if I'm solving a math problem. I know it sounds like I am just the lamest nerd, but I find it helps me to see all sides to an issue, or to see all possible solutions to a problem. On the same notion, I am also very methodical when working through stories that people tell me, or events that one might recount.
I also tend to ask a lot of questions and that seems to get on some people's nerves :p
I guess as a side affect, I can come out as very calculating, and emotionless but it is far from the truth and people who know me well, know this.

After straightening my naturally curly hair for as long as I can remember, I've recently started wearing it curly; it's actually a lot easier to take care of, and it is far less damaging to my hair.. All I half to do after i wash it now is put this moisturizer and gel in and my hair curls up very nicely.

People used to tell me my hair would look so much better curly, so I got a perm three and a half years ago. I didn't like it, and let it grow out. Now people tell me my hair looks a lot better straight. Interesting how that works.

I, unlike most people, have only heard one song by Etta James in my lifetime and am not a fan.

that's one more song from her than I've heard. Lol.

I agree with Usman a lot. But I also tend to overthink things. XD
On just having heard songs from artists that have been around for forever, I finally checked out Melissa Etheridge the other day. She's a great lyricist, but the musical aspect of her songwriting is extremely redundant and I'm not a big fan of her voice.

I don't typically reread books, but the Harry Potter series is an exception.

i've read the first book in the Sword of Truth series and will only read one series or trilogy at a time, but in this case, I've put sword of Truth aside to read The Name of the Wind. I'm two-thirds of the way through that book and will hunt down the second book on Bookshare as soon as I renew my subscription.
Patrick Rothfuss is the author for anyone who might be interested, and the genre is fantasy.

I find documentaries extremely interesting, especially those about things or events in the 20th century.
